Audition Tips you Should Know:
- Google the address of the audition location or drive by the day before to ensure you know how to get there.
- Do not call the client or casting director.
- Arrive on time.
- Always bring: (Models) portfolio/extra comp cards; (Actors) 4 headshots/4 resumes.
- Do not bring your or children to an audition.
- Wear professional cloths, unless told otherwise. No logos or stripes on shirts. Females never wear dark lipstick and only one ring, and small earrings.
- Memorize script if time permits.
- "Slate" means introducing yourself in the camera along with your agency.
- When auditioning for commercials, videos, TV, or film (by yourself): stand in one spot, do not move body from neck down, and look in camera. When auditioning (with partner or someone else reading script with you) look at partner or script reader--NOT the camera (unless told otherwise by director).
- Do not chew gum or smoking on the set.
- Do not confirm an audition if you are not sure if you are able to do the audition or job.
- Do not cancel once confrimed.
- If you need to cancel an audition, please notify us ASAP.
